This week I worked on an airplane cake for my husband. It was a lot of fun to design it and make it a cake. The cake was a replica of one of my husband's latest model airplane designs. It was a challenge to make because I wanted to add electronics to it to have the propellers spin. But in the end it turned out great. Here are the pictures of the cake.

Can I ask you how you did this?
I need to make an airplane cake like this. I am wondering if you used sponge cake or madeira/mud cake.
